Kelsey looks terrific. Her scar is healing nicely. Last checked her oxygen was 100%! Kelsey is a normal babbling baby. She tries to have a conversation in her own baby words and smiles smiles smiles. She is so happy and looks so good. Her eyes twinkle when you talk to her and she is just a doll. Kelsey is now 15 weeks old. She practices with her hands and tries so hard to concentrate on hitting or batting at objects. She has not quite mastered the grab and insert into mouth technique, but I am sure that will be coming soon enough. I am sure Kelsey has doubled her birth weight, or darn near close to.

Megan is doing well in school and studying daily for her Geography Bowl. Megan was selected as part of only 9 kids out of her Middle School to represent her school against other schools in a competition. Obviously it will be a competition over Geography. This will be held Nov. 4. She is working hard and we can’t wait to watch her. Megan is also in a Crime Stopper program which she usually volunteers to work concession stand or collect admission money to football games. Her goal is to win a Six Flags season pass from helping so much at school.
Last we heard our new friend Anthony we met at the hospital is doing well. He got caught up on homework and is running around with other kids. We sent him a fun Halloween package with a picture of Kelsey and the stuffed dog he got her.
Kelsey has a Cardiologist checkup this next week and also her Pediatrician checkup both on Oct 30. Kelsey, poor thing, will get her 4 shots on this day from her 3 month checkup we are behind on. Ouch. She should be starting cereal soon, since doc says wait till 4 months old. I am sure the Cardiologist will say we should spread the checkups out now for a few months.
We want to thank all our family and friends that kept up with Kelsey’s heart repair and how she is doing. We know the prayers you made for Kelsey were answered. We found a surgeon, a hospital, and the strength to get through the difficult time. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.

If anyone is wondering... the little boy is Daron's little buddy, Phoenix. Phoenix shared his ice cream sandwiches with Daron. I hope Phoenix notices Kelsey is wearing a Tony Stewart shirt! =)
So glad to get your update. She is a doll and it is so much fun experiencing and watching all the new things she is doing and will do. Children are such blessings. Keep and touch and hope to see you soon. Hugs and kisses.

Daron and Nancy - What a great way to let your friends and family know how your little girl is doing. Great pictures! Dr. Colquitt and all the staff members here were so glad to read the reports on Kelsey's surgery and post operative recovery. I can't begin to imagine how glad you are to have this behind you and have such a beautiful little "pumpkin" to keep you busy now.

Norma,
Thanks for keeping up with the blog. I have been a little lazy updating it. I will start updating more frequently
